Privacy policy

BlazeBench is built to collect as little as possible.

The short version

Benchmark results list

When a run of the CPU or GPU benchmark finishes, the page sends the result to our server so it can appear in the public results list:

Nothing that identifies you is stored: no names, accounts or IP addresses. Runs that look unreliable aren't saved. To stop fake results, the server counts how many results come from the same visitor each day using a one-way code (a hash) made from the IP address and the date; the IP address itself is never stored and the code can't be turned back into it.

Internet speed test

To measure your connection, the speed test sends and receives blocks of test data directly between your browser and a nearby server of a third-party speed test network. Like any website you connect to, that server sees your IP address while the test runs. Your internet provider's name and the test server's location are looked up from the same network and only shown on your screen. BlazeBench doesn't receive or store your speed test results.

Stored in your browser

The site remembers a few things on your own device only: your light or dark theme, and your scores during the current visit (for the overall score). Nothing of this is sent anywhere. You can delete it by clearing your browser's data for this site.

Advertising and cookies

BlazeBench shows ads provided by Google AdSense.

Hosting and analytics

Our hosting provider processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and protect it from attacks. If visit statistics are collected, they are anonymous, don't use cookies and don't track individual people.

Your rights

BlazeBench doesn't keep personal information about you: saved benchmark results can't be linked to a person. For data handled by Google for ads, you can use the privacy options linked above.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page.
